Through painting, printmaking and ceramics, my process-led practice explores and encourages the interrelationship between materials. Inspired by landscapes, I aim to offer a different lens through which to reposition the human/nature dualism through abstraction.

Working across media and varying in scale, I aim to magnify textures and marks that I observe when engaging with landscapes. I am interested in how materials react and respond to each other and the unpredictable marks that can be made through my instigation.

Through my gesture, I embed movement into my work and explore how materials behave in relation to one another, allowing their physical properties such as absorption, resistance, fracture and flow to shape the work.
