Louie de Silva is an abstract painter who was born in Huntingdonshire, 2002. His paintings are deeply concerned with the natural world, and explores the spatial, ephemeral, and experiential.

Where nature is used as a vessel to communicate, the work aims to connect to our unique emotional and bodily responses to a moment. The work also has a strong interest in the formalist qualities of painting; exploring colour, composition, brushstroke, and opticality.

Through an emotional interest and formalist qualities, the work invites the viewer to develop a relationship with the painting, to explore their own emotions and experiences, and to connect with painting.
