My work explores the emotional and spatial dimensions of grief through analogue photography, using 35mm black and white film. It centres on vacant interiors once inhabited by a loved one, creating visual translations of absence; rooms that were once full, now held in stillness. By revisiting these spaces long after they have been emptied, I reflect a quiet tension between life moving forward and sentiment of remaining fixed.

Through layered negatives and careful darkroom development, I create images that carry a sense of ambiguity and subtle disorientation. The photographs evoke the weight of memory embedded within architecture and domestic objects. While rooted in personal experience, my practice gestures towards the universality of grief, inviting viewers to consider how absence continues to shape lived environments.
